" Dancing is an art form  " The following is from my collection of impressive writings that had an impact on me as I studied dance.

DANCE  DEFINITIONS " FRAME " by Don Alan  FRAME - causes a connection between partners, which is so solid that the motion of the leader causes the follower to follow. A leader turning would cause the follower to turn. The volume of pressure employed in this connection is the   minimum required to cause this cause/effect nature of frame. Frame is still ; there is no pumping of the arms or bouncing    of hands , so that a very subtle body motion is completely   obvious to the follower .                                                         A balance is needed between partners . The tone in the    leader's right hand is pulling the follow closer , while the       follow is pushing away . Each partner's muscle tone is equal and the minimum necessary to enable both to move as one . --------------------------------------------------------- Good food for thought !
